Featuring action sequences so spectacular that Quentin Tarantino once declared that the film contained the “greatest stunts ever filmed in any movie ever”, Police Story 3: Supercop stars Jackie Chan and Michelle Yeoh as two police officers out to bring down a violent drug lord.

Having earned a reputation as a hero of the Hong Kong police force, Chan’s Chan Ka-Kui is sent to assist Yeoh’s Interpol Inspector Jessica Yang on the international investigation. Their journey takes them from Hong Kong to Thailand and eventually Malaysia – culminating in a pursuit across packed roads, the top of a train, and the dangling ladder of a helicopter flying high above the streets of Kuala Lumpur.

Released in America as simply Supercop, this third entry in the Police Story franchise was a key moment in Chan’s transition to Hollywood superstar. The film also marked Michelle Yeoh’s return to acting after a brief retirement – a return which she celebrated by performing many of her own death-defying stunts – in a cast that includes other luminaries of Hong Kong cinema such as Maggie Cheung and Yuen Wah.
