About
Ring will screen from an archival 35mm print.
Hideo Nakata's Ring is arguably the most celebrated entry in the 'J-Horror' canon. An adaptation of the novel by Kôji Suzuki, the film follows Reiko, a reporter who investigates a cursed video tape that supposedly kills its viewers seven days after they watch it. As her investigations continue, she begins to uncover the violent past of the tape and the ghost that haunts it. Ring blends traditional Japanese folklore with contemporary technology to create a mystery that is filled with unforgettably frightening images.
